In principle, UZH employees are personally responsible for their own training and continuing education. As part of their annual performance appraisals, employees may agree on individual learning and development objectives as well as continuing education goals. The managers at HR are happy to support supervisors and employees with their continuing education questions and help them select the right in-house and external courses. Continuing education for employees is financed in accordance with the regulations governing the covering of costs and obligations to reimburse costs for training and continuing education (Reglement betreffend die Kostenübernahme und Rückerstattungspflicht von Aus- und Weiterbildungen für Angestellte der Universität Zürich).
